Palmit seems to have a tremendous reputation overseas.

Hello! We are Shuhaskaria Kibon Asakusa, a restaurant specializing in churrasco and Brazilian cuisine, located in Asakusa, one of Tokyo's most popular sightseeing spots, a 3-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the TX line.
Asakusa main store has started mail order and take-out sales of pre-cooked (except for some items) churrasco ingredients "Pre-cozied Set". ~Asakusa main store, which started mail-order and take-out sales of "Pre-Cosiedo Set", a churrasco ingredient (excluding those cooked in a frying pan), and started selling "Que bom!
We have also released a "Comperette Set" that allows you to recreate the Kibon dinner at home, from appetizers to desserts!
Freshly grilled churrasco take-out has been available at Kibon Asakusa's main restaurant since January 18.

Brazilian salad ingredients available in Japan are limited.
Since it is being transported from directly behind the earth, there are limits to what can be done.

Among these rare ingredients, today I would like to introduce Palmito.
It's that white thing that is always in the kibon salad.

To begin with, palmites are vinegared palm shoots.
The only place to get them as they are is near the logging area, so even in Brazil, the ones that are distributed are basically pickled.

I hear it is called "heart of palm" in English, and when you say it like that, it suddenly seems like a noble food.
In fact, in the United States, this Palmito's salad is called the "Millionaire's Salad.
I ate a lot of it, but I wish I had known about it earlier.

There are several types of such palmettes, depending on the variety of palm.
The palmito at the main Kibon Asakusa store is called "palmito pupunha" (palmito pupunha).
The actual Portuguese pronunciation is closer to "Pupunya".

This Pupunya is a variety of palm planted for Palmit, and is characterized by its lumpy and soft texture.
Very tasty!

In the first place, palmitos cut down trees for only a small portion (palm shoots), so it is much better environmentally to systematically plant and harvest trees than to cut them down in an unregulated manner.

Feel like a Millionaire with Kibon's Salad...

Shuhaskaria Kibon Asakusa is waiting for you in a corner of Asakusa, an area full of the Edo period (1603-1867), with its famous meat dishes.
